Helping my neighbors move

   My neighbors are moving from Florida to Las Vegas and me being the wonderful neighbor I am decided to help them find a mover.  I stumbled across a website that actually gives moving estimates including those for long distance movers .

  They have a moving guide there too that shows you how to pick the right mover and information about storage too so my neighbors are now on the right track. I couldn't imagine trying to find a mover to get me all the way across the United States, that's why I hit the internet and am so happy I found a site that has everything I need there.  I didn't have to spend hours searching!

    The site also has local movers too if you just need help moving across town and you can also get local moving quotes. You can even buy enough moving boxes from them for your entire house. If you are moving

Drop Dead Diva: Season 3

This Sunday, Lifetime will air the first episode of the third season of Drop Dead Diva. If you've never seen the show, you should definitely watch the 2 min Recap  below, or better yet, watch both of the first 2 seasons of Drop Dead Diva online.

I love this show, and find myself looking forward to the next episode at the end of each one I watch.

Season One began as Deb (Brooke D'Orsay), a shallow, blonde, aspiring model, dies in a car crash. She finds herself at a desk in heaven where Fred (Ben Feldman), an angel, reviews her life on the computer and breaks the news that she has scored a 0 in the game of life. She has done no good or bad deeds in her life. Furious, she tries to convince Fred to send her back to Earth, and hits the Return key on Fred's computer, which sends her back to, not her life, but the body of Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliot).

Jane's dreams, often staring Paula 
Abdul (as herself) are musical fun.

Jane is an intelligent, plus-size attorney who's totally cute, but wears dark and drab clothes, doesn't stand up for herself, and lives a lonely life with her cats. Living Jane's life is a big change for Deb, and with each episode she's continually learning to accept herself for who she now is, and really begins to appreciate her new life.

The only people who know what really happened to Jane are Stacy (April Bowlby) her best friend from her previous life, and Fred, the angel who is sent to Earth to watch over her.

Deb's fiance Grayson (Jackson Hurst), a passionate, kind, and totally hot lawyer ends up getting a job with Jane's firm, which presents another problem for Jane as she struggles to let go of her previous life and her soul-mate.

It's a great, feel good show, and the first episode of the third season doesn't disappoint. There are so few shows showing "real" people as sexy, confident and capable. So, watch this show and keep it on the air!

She worries about her marriage, kids, weight, etc... Here, Home, Hope is a very uplifting and funny read. Perfect for the beach.

Mandie's Thoughts - It was an awesome book but with historical fiction in general you need to remember it's Fiction. This book doesn't completely follow the biblical text but is a wonderful read none the less. A Reluctant Queen chronicles the life of Esther, a young Jewish girl who must secretly hide her faith in order to marry the King of Persia and save her people. Esther finds herself torn between her strong faith and the realization that she may actually be falling in love with the divine King Ahasuerus.

Mandie's Thoughts - I literally could not put this one down. Imagine me cooking dinner and reading. :) It was a little dark but very very well written. The story was told from three perspectives - Megan, Cole, & the Killer. This was a sit on the edge of your seat read but Jami didn't forget to add some steamy romance. Megan and Cole had great chemistry and plenty of tension between them when Megan wouldn't give up on her brother despite the growing evidence.

Investing Within an IRA

The other day, I posted about starting a list of 99 things I'd like to accomplish in 999 days. I talked about 5 of the financial goals I've set for myself. #3 was investing in our IRAs on a consistent basis. So, I've been spending some time researching IRA accounts.

I've found that the easiest way to be consistent with investments is to do it automatically. An IRA, of course, is just the basket that holds your investments, so I've been researching convenient ways to participate in online trading where I have access to mobile trading and an online broker.

Here are some things I've learned while researching IRAs:

1. Stock trading isn't your only option for investing inside of an IRA. You can also invest in bonds, mutual funds, as well as other assets such as real estate.
2. You pay taxes on the back end with a traditional IRA (when you withdraw the money in retirement), but pay taxes on the front end when you invest in a Roth IRA. Both accounts grow tax free while the money is in the account.
3. There are income limits for contributing to a Roth IRA.
4. Roth IRAs are more flexible. You can withdraw some of the money early, and can leave the money in there for as long as you want. With a traditional IRA, you are required to start withdrawing money by the age of 70 1/2.
5. SIMPLE and SEP IRAs are other options for small business owners and those who are self-employed.

Hope you found this helpful! Investing can seem intimidating at first, but like with all of the important things in life, it's worth it, and is not so bad if you just take it one step at a time.
