Baby Med Basics Book Review

TURN MOMENTS OF PANIC INTO MOMENTS OF ACTION!

One of the most important ways you can show your children love is by knowing how to care for them in an emergency. Baby MEDBASICS® will show you -- in clear, simple language and easy-to-understand illustrations -- how to handle the most common infant emergencies.

Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or babysitter, look no further than Baby MEDBASICS® to provide you with the knowledge, confidence, and security you need. YOU can do it, we'll show you how.

                                      Buy It

My Thoughts - This is a great resource for parents, grandparents, babysitters.... anyone watching a child. I love the fact that it's the perfect size to fit in most purses. The book is separated by sections and color coded dividers to make easy to find in an emergency. Very easy to follow and definitely recommend everyone have a copy or two laying around so grab in case of emergency.

Time 4 Mommy Sponsor - Theresa Grisanti

I met Theresa through the Blogelina Group and we have become fast friends. Not only is she a financial supporter of the Time 4 Mommy Community and this blog but she is now an administrator for the community and manages the craft group, WAHM group and is genuinely interested in getting to know all of our members.

Here is a little from Theresa & what she does.....

In a time when people are facing financial uncertainty, more families are looking for ways to make ends meet and plan for the future.  I work with families that want to take their financial future into their own hands.

Using a proven method that doesn’t involve cold-calling, inventories, or parties, while allowing families to stay home together we help people reach their goals.

Our Team has taught thousands of Moms how to successfully work from home and re-claim control of their family’s financial future with a risk-free home-based business.  That’s right, no big risk, no large outlay of money!  You can found out if it fits for you and make your choice based on your experience.

We provide Business Training, Leadership Training, Personal Development, and Online Marketing Training.

There is weekly training to fast track your business to success.  We learn about the newest developments in social media marketing and how to succeed in every step of having a home business.  Our team has been using online marketing since 1999 and it is working.  I’m making it happen and so can you.

Some of the ways I find community and meet new people is through my blogs.  It’s A Mom’s World: Green Living for the Whole Family is just that.  All about my life raising twins, loving local food, making herbal remedies and creating a healthy community for my children to grow in.

On Joyful At Home Ceo I write about inspiration and creating the life you dream about having.  Dreams aren’t pie-in-the-sky, airy-fairy fantasies that never happen.  There are steps you can take to create what you want.  Get clear on who you are, what you want and you can figure out how to get where you are going.

My life has lots of balls to juggle.  My family succeeds at it because we do it together.  Working with others and creating team spirit is something I do best.  I’d love to share more dreams with you.  Stop by and say hello!

More Affordable Calling Options

This post brought to you by TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.

Everything  I turn around my nephew is on the phone or texting. He and his girlfriend can be in the SAME room and they are texting each other, really? Now that he has a job he sees how much his little habit is. I suggested he get a TracFone. TracFone offers the least expensive way to own and use a cell phone in America. He would get great coverage. There are no contracts, no credit checks, no activation charges or cancellation fees. No surprises!

You pay as you go online or with cards available at thousands of retail stores across the country.1 year service cards give you so much more. Receive double minutes for the life of your TracFone, and 800 minutes, for only $119.00. “Double minutes for the life of your phone” is a feature that can be purchased separately for only$19.99, but some phones include it! Choose monthly plans with 200 minutes for under $30.00, and as low as $9.99 for 50.  Perfect for my teenage nephew.

Heck it's perfect for us too. My husband always teases how he wants one of those 'older people' phones because he doesn't use it much and doesn't need anything fancy. They have simple phones for simple needs, calling and texting capabilities for under $10.00 TracFone offers a wide variety of phones, just what my husband wants and something much more trendy for me with features like camera/video recorder, web access, app capabilities, mp3 player, and full QWERTYkeyboard, for $29.99

You can even call internationally.  It's the only wireless service where you can call internationally, for the same price as any other call. You can call over 60 international destinations directly from your TracFone at no extra cost! With the International Neighbors program, you can provide family and friends in Mexico or Canada a local phone number in those countries to reach you at your TracFone in the U.S

Supernatural: The Anime Series on DVD - Family Sticks Together!

Synopsis -

The otherworldly TV phenomenon that is Supernatural makes history entering another world: as the first-ever live-action television show to be reimagined as an animé series. The internationally acclaimed animation powerhouse Madhouse Studios produces the show with the blessing of original series creator Eric Kripke.

With storylines mirroring Supernatural’s first two seasons plus supplemental tales derived from prequels and spinoffs, this 3-Disc, 22-Episode Collection expands the dimensions of the familiar Winchester mythology. Journey down the backroads of America with brothers Sam and Dean as they search for clues to their father’s disappearance, hunt down the supernatural in all its unearthly forms and enter into the unexpected mystery of their destinies – in vibrant, exciting animé.

After being separated for years, the Winchester brothers come together and surmount enormous obstacles (including some pretty gnarly demons) in search of their father. Throughout the show, family and brotherhood specifically is a very important theme. In fact, it is often the key element that saves each brother’s life when things get the most dangerous.

No matter what happens, my family is always there for each other and I can honestly say that my girls and husband would be kickin' demon butts together too. We always have each others' back. Our family is the most important thing in our lives, but isn't that how it's suppose to be?

How has family been there for you in moments of crisis?

Do you have a brother or sister that you would stand alongside and fight demons?

Available 7/26  Supernatural: The Anime Series on DVD or Blu-Ray  today!

I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote Supernatural: The Anime Series on DVD/Blu-Ray.

The Little Black Book of Big Red Flags: Relationship Warning Signs You ... Review

by Natasha Burton, Julie Fishman, and Meagan McCrary

Red Flag (noun): 1. A sign of danger.
2. The point in time when you notice something is a tad off with the guy you're dating, but decide to let it go because you really like him, you're tired of being single, you really really want to get laid, whatever. Then, when things start going downhill, you look back on that seemingly insignificant moment you dismissed and think: That's when I should have known.

YOU'VE DONE IT BEFORE.
Saw something wrong with him -- whether it was suspect grooming habits or ridiculously childish behavior -- but let it slide. It's not that big of a deal. Except it totally was. You wanted to fall in love, but ended up going insane. You swore you'd never do it again. But did.

Don't beat yourself up. In the search for love, we've all either blatantly ignored or completely missed red flags. Instead, smarten up. It's time to figure out what you missed and learn how to avoid similar flagtastic fiascos in the future. If you raise your red-flag awareness now, you'll be able to greenlight a real relationship down the road.

Read an Excerpt

My Thoughts - Oh to the days where I wish I would have had this book.
It all seems like common sense now that I've found the love of my life but I had to kiss some toads. This book shows you what to look for so you aren't wasting your time.
The big RED FLAGS that I was so oblivious to before.
Single ladies - PICK THIS UP!

Never again.

Remember when my computer crashed? It was not a happy situation, I was extremely stressed out and all because some idiot attacked my computer.
As much as I have going on now I couldn't imagine what I would do.
Maybe FREAK out and have to buy yet another computer - Expensive!
Just because I didn't have Anti Virus Protection

I will never go through that again. Not when it 's so inexpensive
compared to losing your sanity and spending so much money on
*sigh*  a new computer. (Thank goodness my friend gave me a computer
when mine crashed! Not everyone has that luxury.)

Since then I have gotten Internet security software . Anyone with a computer needs virus software end of story! It's so sad the phishing and spyware that goes on. I used to be so naive, you know - everyone is a good person. When I got the program I found out I had spyware - AGAIN! Thankfully not anymore!

Have any of you had your computer crash due to viruses or spyware?
Last time my harddrive was melted and I couldn't even get any info off of it.
So many evil people :(

Creep Book Review

Pulsing with the dark obsession of Radiohead’s song “Creep,” this taut thriller—Jennifer Hillier’s superb debut—rockets from its seductive opening to a heartpounding climax not easily forgotten.

If he can’t have her . . .

Dr. Sheila Tao is a professor of psychology. An expert in human behavior. And when she began an affair with sexy, charming graduate student Ethan Wolfe, she knew she was playing with fire. Consumed by lust when they were together, riddled with guilt when they weren’t, she knows the three-month fling with her teaching assistant has to end. After all, she’s finally engaged to a kind and loving investment banker who adores her, and she’s taking control of her life. But when she attempts to end the affair, Ethan Wolfe won’t let her walk away.

. . . no one else can.

Ethan has plans for Sheila, plans that involve posting a sex video that would surely get her fired and destroy her prestigious career. Plans to make her pay for rejecting him. And as she attempts to counter his every threatening move without her colleagues or her fiancé discovering her most intimate secrets, a shattering crime rocks Puget Sound State University: a female student, a star athlete, is found stabbed to death.

Someone is raising the stakes of violence, sex, and blackmail . . . and before she knows it, Sheila is caught in a terrifying cat-and-mouse game with the lover she couldn’t resist—who is now the monster who won’t let her go

My Thoughts - Wow!! I can't believe this is a debut novel! Sheila is a recovering sex addict who had an affair with her teaching assistant but called it off before her wedding. Ethan doesn't take that too kindly so he threatens to expose a sex tape of them. Since this would ruin everything Sheila has been striving towards so she pushes back.

This ticks Ethan off and he decides if he can't have her no one can. Fabulous book! I wonder if there is to be a sequel. If so, I have to have it!

Sun Tea
My mom use to make this when we were growing up and
it brings back great memories so I make it for my girls.
Super Easy!
Put 4 - 6 bags of tea into a 2 qrt pitcher
Fill it with water, slice some lemon, and cap it.

Let it sit for 5 hours ( I usually put it out in the morning and let it sit until evening)

It will be a nice mellow taste, you can add some simple sugar to it to sweeten it up.
Enjoy!

Flipflop Merlot Review

Merlot is a staple in my house.
While I have to admit the Cabernet was my personal favorite the
Merlot is the wine I keep around to please everyone's palate.

I had the Flipflop Merlot with some of my girlfriends.

Everyone loved it and kept asking me what is was, where I got it and NO ONE
believed me when I said it only cost $7.
The Flipflop is Medium-bodied, silky Merlot with plum and mocha notes, soft tannins and a balanced, luscious finish.
Great to sip with your friends or with a cheese burger.

Buy it HERE

For every bottle of flipflop wine purchased, Soles4Souls
will distribute a pair of shoes to someone in need

Newman's Own Organics Review and Giveaway

I love Newman's Own Organics. Especially their chocolate bars. So silky and melt in your mouth, high quality chocolate too.I can't do Hershey's any more. They are just gross to me.

Every time we go the health food store my girls ask for a 'special treat' and usually get some Fig Newmans or split a chocolate bar. We also use to get the Alphabet cookies when my little one was learning her ABC's. Now that is a fun way to learn :)

Newman's Own Organics sent Amanda and I a box of all kinds of yummy treats. They had the Chocolate bars, Fig Newmans, Chocolate cups, and Alphabet Cookies just to name some.

  Got this from their Site....
Great tasting food that happens to be organic.' (That's what we kept in mind when we created our products.) We focus on the kinds of products we loved as kids, but take them one step further by using the highest quality of available organic ingredients.

We find that people really want to know how the ingredients are grown and processed on the way to their grocer's shelf. When people see how much organic foods have improved since the early days of packaged 'health' foods, we hope they'll try other organic food products.
But 'organic' may be the last thing you think of when you try our tasty Pretzels, Chocolate Bars, Fig Newmans™, Champion Chip Cookies, Chocolate Cups, Newman-O's, Pop's Corn, Alphabet Cookies , Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar, Dried Fruit , Soy Crisps, Hermits, Mints, Coffee and Royal Tea. They're just so good!

One of the BEST things I love about Newman's Organics..... I can find it in my REGULAR grocery store too. I only go to the health food store once a month but I go to our Publix much more than that and I pick up the girls' cookies or pretzels. I feel good about Newman's Organics and their products.

Newman's Organics are gracious enough to allow me to give one lucky reader some of their yummy treats. You will receive a chocolate bar, chocolate cups, Fig Newmans, and Alphabet Cookies. YUMMY!!!

Cream Perfumes Review & Giveaway

I recently discovered the most amazing fragrances and body lotions from kaponga.com. They sent us 3 different ones to review. Two were their signature cream perfumes, fine French perfumes in a moisturizing cream base,  a Ylang Ylang and a Raspberry, and the other was a Mandarin body lotion.

The Mandarin body lotion is a fantastic moisturizer. The scent surprised me though. I was expecting more of a fruity smell, yet there was a distinct earthiness to the fragrance. I wasn't really thrilled with the fragrance, but I think fans of Patchouli, like my mom, husband and many friends, would really like this body lotion.

The Ylang Ylang cream perfume, on the other hand, really won me over. The sophisticated smell really seems expensive, but they are actually quite inexpensive at just under $10 per container. The body lotions are even less expensive and range between just $6 and $8. I also liked the Raspberry cream perfume, and would probably wear that around the house, and to the store, but would definitely stick with the Ylang Ylang on nights out, as it's a much more elegant and sexy fragrance. I will definitely be reordering the Ylang Ylang.

The wonderful folks at Kaponga.com are offering one lucky reader their choice of any product in their store, and you can enter below!
